The Afghan Florist
The Afghan Florist was founded in Los Angeles by Farah Walahi, inspired by the resilience of the Afghan people through two decades of war. Despite the hardships of post-war poverty and famine, rose and saffron farmers thrive, embodying hope. Working alongside the 501(C)(3) nonprofit, Hand To Hand Sadaqah Group, workshops and deliveries aid impoverished families coping with disabilities displacement, girls education, and more. Our transparent organization directs 100% of donations to on-the-ground efforts. The mission is to uplift all communities battling poverty and oppression, using flowers as a symbol of nature’s enduring reminder of our shared humanity. Nature has always taught us the importance of supporting one another and living in peace and harmony. Events and workshops that promote charitable giving through the beauty of flowers is an ongoing effort. The Afghan Florist was created most importantly to foster a cycle of giving and compassion.
